The brief
Pinjjai by H sells handcrafted crochet bags made by women artisans in Punjab. The brand needed a store that felt as considered as the product, with room for the story of the makers alongside a clear path to buy.
The challenge
Handmade products live or die on trust and storytelling. A generic template would flatten the craft, but a purely editorial site would make buying harder. The storefront had to carry both: calm, warm browsing and a checkout that stays out of the way.
What we did
- (01)
Brand-led design system
A warm, paper-toned palette, restrained typography and generous product photography so the crochet textures do the talking.
- (02)
Collections that sell
Collection pages structured around how customers shop: by product family and by launch, with a wishlist for considered purchases.
- (03)
Story built into the store
Dedicated Story and About pages put the artisans and the craft in front of buyers instead of hiding them in the footer.
- (04)
Friction-light commerce
Search, account, wishlist and a free-shipping threshold banner, all in a clean header that works from phone to desktop.
What the site does
- Collections and product pages
- Wishlist and customer account
- Search across the catalogue
- Free-shipping threshold announcement bar
- Story and About pages for the artisan brand
The outcome
- A distinct, brand-led storefront rather than a stock theme
- A clear path from story to collection to cart
- A store the team can keep updating themselves
